I am a mother, an artisan dyer, teacher, and clothing designer for my family business, Maiwa. I have grown up immersed in handwoven cloth, natural dyes, travel, culture, language and tradition which has seeded deep inside of me. I feel very fortunate to travel 3 months out of the year to India to work along side artisans in collaboration with Maiwa - weavers, blockprinters, dyers and tribal embroiderers - and to put the most exquisite materials into a sustainable and environmentally conscious clothing line. Any excuse to use my hands to make, create and build gives me great satisfaction.
